Terms of use for the Probashi Ranna app

In short

• You can use the app and all recipes free of charge online, without an account and without ads.
• Premium is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It unlocks offline recipe packs and belongs to the store account you buy it with.
• Refunds follow the rules of Google Play or the App Store.
• Recipes are for information. Check allergens and food safety yourself; the app's allergen hints are not medical advice.

2. Scope

These terms apply to the use of the Probashi Ranna app for Android and iPhone. Downloading the app and purchases are also subject to the terms of Google Play or the App Store. How we handle data is explained in the privacy policy.

3. Free use

You can use the app and all published recipes free of charge with an internet connection. You don't need an account, and the app shows no ads. We may add, change or remove recipes and features. There is no right to particular recipes or a certain number of recipes.

4. Premium

Premium is a one-time in-app purchase, not a subscription. It lets you download offline recipe packs for the country you choose and use the recipes they contain without an internet connection. The price is shown in the store before you buy.

• A pack contains the recipes published when you download it. Updates to the packs are included when they are available. Downloading needs an internet connection and storage space on your device.
• Premium belongs to the Google Play or Apple account you buy it with. On another device of the same platform you restore it with Restore purchases in the app and the same store account. Purchases on Android and iPhone are separate.
• Deleting your data in the app or uninstalling the app does not cancel the purchase; you can restore it.

5. Payment and refunds

Google Play or the App Store process the payment. Refunds follow their rules; please request a refund from Google Play or via Apple. After a refund or revocation Premium is no longer active; your favorites and lists stay.

6. Recipes, allergens and food safety

Recipes are for information. Results depend on your ingredients, equipment and experience; amounts, times and temperatures are guidance.

• Check allergens and ingredients yourself, read product labels and follow general food-safety rules, for example when handling hot oil, raw meat, fish and eggs, and when storing food.
• The app shows allergen hints. They are guidance, not medical advice, and no guarantee that a dish is free of an allergen. If you have an allergy, an intolerance or a medical diet, ask a doctor or dietitian when in doubt.
• Local ingredient names are a shopping guide. Products in shops can differ in their composition; the label on the product counts.

7. Corrections and withdrawal of content

We review recipes and may correct, update or withdraw them at any time, for example after a report or for legal or safety reasons. The app may show a notice about a correction. A withdrawn recipe can disappear from the app, from your favorites and from offline packs.

8. Reports

With Report a problem (ভুল জানান) in a recipe you can tell us about mistakes, safety problems, wrong ingredient names or rights issues. Please keep reports factual and don't include personal details. We review reports, but we can't promise an individual answer or a particular outcome. Rights holders can also write to us by e-mail (see the credits).

9. Rights to the content

The app, the recipe texts and photos are protected by copyright; some content is used with the permission of others. You may use the content to cook for yourself and others in a private setting and share recipe links from the app. You may not copy, publish or sell recipes, photos or offline packs, extract them automatically or bypass their technical protection.

10. Availability

We try to keep the online service available, but we can't guarantee that it runs without interruption, for example during maintenance or network problems. Downloaded offline packs also work without a connection.

11. Liability

We provide the app with care but without any warranty beyond what mandatory law requires. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are liable only if we breach an obligation that is essential for using the app and on which you may rely, and only for the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise our liability is excluded.

12. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms if the app or the law changes. The current version is always on this page with its date. Changes don't take away a Premium purchase you have already made.

13. Applicable law

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country you live in remain unaffected. We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
